
The Organization of Women for Research and Action Nahum, abbreviated as OFRA NAHUM, is an association born from the will and vision of women, each capitalizing on average 25 years of experience in the supervision and support of rural women. and urban.
It is a non-profit association which received its legal recognition on February 20, 2014 according to law N°10/92/ADP of December 15, 1992. This administrative recognition allows it to carry out its activities as an association.
This official recognition was updated following the advent of law 064-2015/CNT of October 25, 2015 under receipt No 00000127801D Ministry of Territorial Administration and Decentralization.
OFRA NAHUM intends to play a leading role as a support structure for women; fundamentally committed to providing assistance to enterprising women to enable them to leave the vicious circle of poverty.

2014: Women's Alpha
The Alpha project is an initiative consisting in providing women with literacy courses with the aim of reducing the literacy rate of the communities, particularly that of women in rural and peri-urban areas of the province of Kadiogo. The beneficiaries of this project learned to read, write and calculate in the local Mooré language.
2015: Renewable energy
This is an initiative that has provided vulnerable women with gas cylinders in the form of direct subsidies accompanied by a small loan of 50,000 FCFA ($92.60) granted by OFRA to embark on an income-generating activity.
2019: Improving the livelihoods of Internally Displaced Persons through IGAs
This is a project that has enabled the capacity building of 246 people including 200 IDPs (Internally Displaced Persons) with direct funding of 139 dollars each for the development of IGAs in the Center-North and Sahel regions. This project was fully funded by the Japanese Embassy in Burkina.
